Updates from Students in Bolivia 6/18

Kevin Roig
It has been such an exciting opportunity to take part in what God has already been doing in Bolivia. Teaching English, learning Spanish, and being available on campus has given so many opportunities to build relationships. We're excited to see what God will do in the coming weeks.

Patrick Cook
Bolivia is such a great country. People are open and receptive to the good news of Christ. I just arrived yesterday and was encouraged to see the teamwork and community between our team and the Bolivian leaders. Everyone is learning so much Spanish and have built such great relationships on the campuses as they serve the students and share the love of the Savior.

It has been amazing to see what God is already doing here in Santa Cruz. Even with the language barrier, just being in fellowship and spending time with others, you can see the love of Christ here. Thank you for your prayers and support, please continue to pray for the expansion of God's Kingdom!

Kathleen Galloway
As we teach English, attempt Spanish, and meet in small discipleship groups, every day is more encouraging and amazing to see God's heart and work in this country. Despite my complete lack of Spanish, God makes communication possible. Every day as I've shared my testimony, verses from Scripture, and the joy in Christ, someone understands and has been able to translate. I'm continually reminded, God cannot be stopped by language!

Bart Eskind
I am really learning a lot about the culture here in Bolivia. The people here have such a desire to learn English and know Jesus. God is definitely moving and working here in Santa Cruz.

Melissa Herring
I am having such an amazing time in Bolivia. God is doing so much in this country, and I'm excited to be a part of it!

Jeremy Galasso
God has His hand on this country here, and He is changing lives. It has been challenging, but with every challenge, the Lord has guided us along the way. Thank you for your support and continual prayers.

Ross Young
One of the biggest encouragements from being in Santa Cruz has been seeing the leaders here and their passion and love for Bolivian college students. By getting to hang out with them, we've learned so much, and hopefully we have been able to encourage them to keep pressing forward. God's calling people to Himself here, and I know that when we depart from Santa Cruz, the believers here are going to keep pursuing Him and His ways. Thanks for your prayers!

Jacob Beck
God's work in Bolivia is awesome, especially in the high school kids that ministries here have grouped together. God has shown me that even though there is a language barrier, He is bigger than it, and His work is still done. I've never seen people so interested to meet us, and we've had so many opportunities to share about God here.

Taylor Huckaby
The relationships I have made here in Bolivia had done more than I could possibly have imagined. We have seen a ministry opened here that will influence thousands, and I'm proud to be a part of it. God is doing amazing things here!

Jessica Cook
Our time in Bolivia is matchless. God is continually opening doors for ministry, allowing us to be a part of so many movements. It has been a humbling experience to learn Spanish, teach English, and share Christ in Santa Cruz. We are grateful for all of your prayers! Critter Cook
Our team has received awesome opportunities to display Jesus to all of the Bolivians that we rub shoulders with. God is doing great things here, and it's incredible to be a part of the church He is building.

Updates from Students in China 6/9

Brandon Bass
Hey everyone! Being here in China has certainly opened my eyes to God's glory and his love for the nations. This is my first time being over seas and it is incredible. Everything you hear about how the fruit is ripe is so true. The students are all so excited to hear about Him and if they have never heard anything about him they want to know. For those who already know something about our father are really close to accepting and have great questions. We are seeing new family members every few days! Its beautiful to see how such a culturally rich country is ready to hear and believe in the words given to us by His son. Because of some restrictions here, it opens the doors to so many questions and people searching for truth. Indeed, God works in astonishing ways to leave me continually in awe of his power and glory. Pray for the many students that we have connected with to soften their hearts to the gospel and that we would have favor from the appropriate people. I hope that ya'll can be encouraged by the fruit here and get excited about reaching the nations!! Thanks for all your love and support.

Dear Friends, Our mission here has been incredibly encouraging and exciting. I would first like to thank you for the prayers, because they are so powerful. His kingdom is expanding by the day, and we have the joy in experiencing first hand what that looks like. Our team is developing relationships daily with Chinese students who are hungry to hear everything we have to say. I see positive changes in many students in China who are being exposed to the truth. I wake up every day with energy, knowing that it comes straight from the King we serve. This energy is poured into the students that we are developing relationships with. It is a great feeling to know that you are investing quality time in someone whose life will be changed forever by our Father's grace!

Hey guys, this trip is going by so fast its hard to believe its already been two weeks. Since I've been here I have seen just how different but at the same time similar the other half of the world can be. Everyone knows the words 'bye bye', the Golden Arches are universal and so is Coca Cola. Its strange being the minority, many people stare at us as we walk by and unless we are with the friends it is sometimes difficult to communicate basic needs or wants. On a serious note there is much hurting here, they strive to be the very best and it consumes most of the chinese students. There is so much pressure put on them that when they fail, depression is the only option. The are shackled and do not even know it. Fortunately, many times when we have shared the truth with our friends they experience the sweet release that only He can provide. They want to know more and more sometimes reading more than one 'book' in a single day. Sadly the persecution here is much different here then at home. At home you're just a 'Jesus freak', here you run the risk of being hated and outcast from your family. One guy gave his testimony and told us that his father screamed and cursed at him then made the young man leave home. Later the father threatened to hire guys to break his own sons legs if he didnt disown Him. The boys reply was that he would have been happier if his father did break his legs, at least that way he could forgive his father and show the love and forgiveness that Jesus showed and maybe share the truth with him that way.

The girls met Han Yun and her boyfriend, Hill, one day when they fell in love with her little dog, Little. After hanging out a few times touring the Art School and having us for a Chinese barbeque, Han Yun came to a study. Even though Little was a complete distraction and Han Yun’s poor English made it difficult to understand the message, she believed that night and is now our sister! Keep her in your thoughts so she can grow and that Hill will accept this same message as well.

Dan Davis
One day Stan and I were planning to have a study with some of our brothers, but when we got there, two guys who had never heard showed up as well. I was able to take the two off to the side and explain to them why we were here. After hearing it, they understood and believed, and now we have two new brothers.

Hey everyone! China is an amazing place filled with culture and people that are hungry for truth. My experience so far has been truly eye opening. Most of the students I have had opportunities to build relationships with have never heard of Jesus or really even thought about the existence of God. This is why I am more excited than ever to be a part of God's work here. God is moving here in a huge way. I have even been privileged enough to lead a student named John to Christ. There are many other students that are very near and curious. Since the culture here values education and science so much, the students find it hard to take that leap of faith without concrete, scientific facts. Please keep John, Michael, Jimmy, and Stephen in your thoughts. I thank you for your prayer and support. Please continue to pray for our team and for China.

Kody LaBarthe
God has been great! The team has really come together here, and everyone has been looking for every opportunity to share Christ with anyone who will listen. It has been very encouraging for me to share in this experience with everyone on the team. Be praying for some guys that I have had the opportunity to share my story, and the good news with, there names are Steven and Joe. Please also pray for me that I will continue to be bold in preaching Christ, and that I will do it in the strength and grace that he provides. Thanks!

One of the my best experiences here so far was being able to share the bridge with one of my friends and now new brother, Evan. It was awesome to see how God used me in ways that was beyond my understanding. It was my first time sharing the bridge with anyone. I was nervous because I didn't want to say anything wrong or for him to interpret anything the wrong way. As I was going through the bridge I could just tell that Evan was understanding everything I was saying. When I was done I asked him where he was and where he wanted to be. He told me that he was living a life of sin and wanted to have eternal life. When I asked him to explain back to me what I had just shared with him, he explained everything back perfect. He said he wanted to become a brother so we prayed together. It was just amazing to see how the language barrier isn't an issue when God wants the heart of those at that moment. There are some many more students over here that are hungry and want to know more.

Mike Donahue
So we've been here for about three weeks now and this experience has been a great one so far. We've been on their campus alot just getting to know alot of these guys and also meeting many new ones. We've seen many of them become part of our heavenly family which is awesome and we've seen many who are interested and want to be taught more. I am learning alot about myself and am continuing to grow.
